I have made 498 inspections during the year, and have not had occasion to

many of the places where milk is sold that are unsuitable for the storage and

Canal Boats Act.
To the Medical Officer of Health.
Sir,
I have inspected 77 registered dwelling boats during the year, and reported
one case of infringement of the bye-laws. A notice was served on the owner
of the boat, and was complied with. There has also been one case of infectious
disease, viz., Typhoid Fever. The patient was removed to the Asylums'
Board Hospital, all the clothes and bedding removed to the Borough Council's
Disinfecting Station, and the cabin fumigated before the boat was allowed to
leave on its voyage up country.
The majority of the boats are kept clean, in good sanitary condition, and in
good repair.
Yours obediently,
J. Osborne,
Inspector of Canal Boats.
