POPULATION.
The figures of the 1901 Census have been taken as a basis and the 2,831
inmates of Extra Borough Institutions have been added to the Sub-Districts in
proportion to the population as the deaths amongst these inmates are included in
the Statistics in the year.

MARRIAGES.
The number of marriages celebrated in St. Pancras during the year was 2133,
being 55 less than in the previous year, and 85 less than the annual average of the
previous ten years.
BIRTHS.
The number of births registered during the year was 6304, being 144 less
than in the preceding year, and 600 less than the annual average during the
preceding decennium.

The 178 births in public institutions having been re-distributed according to population, the number of births and the birth-rate of each of the Sub-Districts, and of the District, were as follows :—
