ZYMOTIC DISEASES.
A greater number of persons have died from Zymotic Diseases
than during 1883, though fewer than the average number during
the previous ten years. The nine principal Zymotic Diseases
have, in 1884 caused 150.9 per 1,000 deaths from "all causes,"
or 2.8 in every 1,000 of population, whereas in 1883, the proportions
were 130.8 and 2.5 respectively, and the average
proportions during 1874-83 inclusive, were 151.5 and 3.2.
In London during 1884, the proportions were 161.1 and 3.5.

The subjoined table shows the relative proportion of deaths from Zymotic Diseases in the sub-registration districts;4deaths from these diseases, and223deaths from "all causes," could not be referred to the districts to which they belong.( Vide Note, page5.)
