Notifications
The total number of new cases which came to the notice of the
Department during 1960 was 395 compared with 488 in 1959.

Three hundred and ninety-five cases were added to the notification
register during the year and 172 cases who had removed, recovered or
died, were taken off. The number remaining on the register at the end
of the year was 6,284.
Deaths
The number of deaths certified as due to various forms of tuberculosis
was 34.
