The total number of addresses received from other Councils
was 579, and 180 addresses were forwarded to other Councils.
The number of addresses received has increased by 95, and the number
sent decreased by five. 21 names and addresses were forwarded
to this Borough in error, and are not included in the above Table.
The number of notices sent to employers during the year was
38, and these had a most satisfactory result.
During the year 39 cases of infective diseases—10 of Scarlet
Fever, three of Diphtheria, 20 of Measles, one of Erysipelas, and five
of Whooping-cough—were notified as having occurred in the homes
of outworkers. In none of these cases was it necessary to make
any order under Section 110 of the Factory and Workshop Act.
