The following Table shows the number of milk samples taken,
the number found adulterated, and the percentage adulteration for
the past 10 years, compared with the year 1915.

CREAM AND PRESERVED CREAM.
36 samples of cream and 33 of preserved cream were taken
during the year. Of the latter 33 samples, nine or 25 per cent.
were reported against as containing a preservative.
The following report on the administration in connection with
the Public Health (Milk and Cream) Regulations, 1912, is prepared
as requested by the Local Government Board.
In three of the 33 cases the amount of boric acid stated on the
label was exceeded, and all the samples contained over 35 per
cent. of milk fat.
