Specific Treatment.
The next table shows the number of cases under specific
treatment at the two dispensaries during the year. 74 were so
treated, 35 with tuberculin, 31 with Spengler's Immune serum,
"I.K.," and in eight others both tuberculin and "I.K." were used.
Of the 35 cases treated with tuberculin, 24 showed definite
improvement at the end of the year. Four are classed as recovered,
but come up at regular intervals for observation and are not yet
considered as cured. In two the disease advanced, and in four there
was no apparent change, and one died.
