Table LV. deals with all the tuberculous cases of 1913 and
1914 only. They are divided into 12 classes. The number in
Class 1 is very small, but it is seldom possible to consider a patient
cured under a lapse of three or four years after recovery. Many
of the cases in Classes 2 and 3 may be permanently recovered, and
it is hoped that as time goes on there may be a considerable move
of cases from 4 to 3, 3 to 2, and from 2 to 1. It will be seen that
the percentage numbers of the classes for the two years are remarkably
parallel. Most of those in Class 2 are at work, and it is difficult
to get them to come up for examination.
