Table CXV. shows the number of factories, workshops, domestic
workshops, and workplaces on the Register at the close of 1913,
the number removed from, the number added during 1914, and the
number on the Register at the end of 1914. The number of workrooms
in workshops is also shown.
The factories and workshops are divided into dressmakers'
and milliners' premises, laundries, and miscellaneous premises ;
and the workplaces are divided into laundries and miscellaneous
premises.
Of the 106 factories where women are employed, 77 are laun
dries and 29 other factories, while of the total workshops, viz.:—495
