The Chart (facing page 68) shows the number of cases notified
in each week during the year.
The greatest number, viz.—43, was notified in the fourth week
of October, and the smallest, four, in the first week of January.
Of the total number of cases notified, viz.—971, seven or 72
per cent. were under one year, compared with two or .24 per cent.
in 1912; 206 or 20.2 per cent, were from one and under five years,
compared with 200 or 24.0 per cent.; 614 or 63.2 per cent. from
five and under 15 years, compared with 530 or 63.6 per cent.;
102 or 10.5 per cent. from 15 and under 25 years, compared with
64 or 7.6 per cent.; and 42 or 4.3 per cent. from 25 and under 65
years, compared with 37 or 4.4 per cent. It will be noted that there
was some increase in the percentage of cases from 15 and under 25
years compared with 1912.
The number of dwellings in each sub-district and in the whole
Borough in which multiple cases occurred is shown in the following
Table:—
