Table CXVIII. shows the number of factories, workshops,
domestic workshops, and workplaces on the Register at the close
of 1912, the number removed from, the number added during 1913,
and the number on the Register at the end of 1913. The number
of workrooms in workshops is also shown.
The factories and workshops are divided into dressmakers'
and milliners' premises, laundries, and miscellaneous premises ;
and the workplaces are divided into laundries and miscellaneous
premises.
Of the 104 factories where women are employed, 76 are laundries
and 28 other factories, while of the total workshops, viz.:—523,
