In Table LXV. is shown the total number of cases notified
since 1904, the number of deaths in each year since that date, the
total deaths, the number removed from the district as far as could
be ascertained, the number who were stated to have recovered, the
number in which no inquiries were made, and the total number of
cases still on the Register.
In all 3,188 cases have been notified, and of these 1,276 or 40
per cent. have died, 649 or 20.4 per cent. have removed, 92 or 2.9
per cent. are stated to have recovered, in 48 or 1.5 per cent. no
inquiries have been made, while 1,123 or 35.2 per cent. are still on
the Register.
It will be noted that in 1912 and 1913 inquiries have been
made in every case, although in 40 cases in 1912 and 55 in 1913
these inquiries were made at my request by the private medical
practitioner.
