Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
Generally speaking, compared with the last two years, the
increase in the rate has been, in the sub-district of Clapham, due
to the increase in the number of deaths from Measles, Whooping
Cough, Diarrhoea, Enteritis, Premature Birth and Congenital
Debility; in Putney, to Diarrhoea, Enteritis, Premature Birth and
Congenital Debility; in Streatham, to Diarrhoea, Enteritis and
Diseases of the Respiratory Organs; in Tooting, to Measles,
Diarrhoea, and Enteritis; and in Wandsworth, to Measles, Whooping
Cough, Diarrhoea and Enteritis.

The following Table shows the number of deaths, the percentage to total deaths, the rate per 1,000 births for the year and for the three previous years for each sub-district and for the whole Borough.
