The percentage of births notified to those registered was
6o.3,while 39.7 Per cent. were not notified. In the sub-districts
these percentages were:—in Clapham 61.1 and 38.9; in Putney
50.0 and 50.0; in Streatham 55.1 and 44.9; in Tooting 61.2 and
38.8; and in Wandsworth 65.6 and 34.4.
Deaths.
During the 52 weeks ending the 31st December, 1910, 2,856.
deaths, 1,401 of males and 1,455 females were registered, compared
with 3,279 in 1909, 3,230 in 1908, and 3,337 in 1907.
Compared with 1909 there has been a decrease of 423 deaths,,
and of 1,058 compared with the decennial average corrected for
increase of population.
The uncorrected death-rate for the Borough was 8.16 per
1,000, compared with 9.50 in 1909, 9.63 in 1908, and 10.24 in 1907.
The average uncorrected rate for the decennium 1900-1909
was 11.28, or 3.12 above the rate for the year 1910.
