Proposed
alterations
at the
Wandsworth
Baths.
117. In the last Annual Report (page 67) it was stated that
plans of the alterations, which would be necessary
before a licence would be granted for the
first-class swimming bath, had been submitted
to the London County Council for their approval. The conditions
upon which the County Council would be prepared to
grant a certificate, under Section 12 of 41 and 42 Vic., cap. 32,
have been received, and the County Council was prepared to grant
a provisional licence, subject to certain works being carried out
by this Council. Upon consideration of the requirements, and an
estimate of the cost of complying with the same, it was decided
in view of the uncertainty as to the receipts which would be
derived from lettings if the works were carried out, not to proceed
further with the matter at present.
