Two proposals were before the Council,

the extension of Putney Vale Cemetery. With regard to the
Streatham proposal it was found that only a small area would be
available for burials, and the price of the land was considered to
be too high. The Council eventually decided to purchase, subject
to the approval of the Local Government Board, 15 acres of land
(at £400 per acre) adjoining Putney Vale Cemetery, and a provisional
agreement for purchase has been entered into.
