In connection with the widening of this road, new 12-inch by
8-inch granite kerb has been laid on cement concrete
and the footpath paved with York paving on
the east side from High Street, Wandsworth, to No. 7.
The carriageway will be paved with wood during the ensuing
summer.
Old kerb and granite sett channel has been laid on cement
concrete on the west side from corner of Portsmouth
Road to Putney Heath Lane, at a cost of
£48 6s. od.
Old granite sett channel has been laid on cement concrete on
the north and south sides from York Road to Fairfield
Street, at a cost of £46 13s. od.
The kerb has been taken up and re-laid and new scoriae-block
channel laid on cement concrete on the west side
from Gay Street to Lower Richmond Road, at a
cost of £34 4s. 4d.
A free sample of Kentish Rag artificial paving supplied by
Messrs. Chittenden & Simmons has been laid on
the east side at the junction of West Side, Wandsworth
Common.
The kerb has been taken up and re-laid and old granite sett
channel laid on cement concrete on the east and,
west sides, at a cost of £64 10s. 10d.
The kerb has been taken up and re-laid and new scoriæ-block
channel laid on cement concrete on the north and
south sides from Merton Road to 238 feet west of
Lainson Street, at a cost of ,£165 7s. gd.
The partition wall dividing the two clerks' offices on the
ground floor has been taken down and the two
rooms thrown into one, and new double desk with,
brass rails provided, at a cost of £99 5s. 8d.
The kerb and granite sett channel have been taken up and
re-laid on cement concrete on the east side from
Brocklebank Road to The Grove, at, a cost of
£23 17s. 7d.
