The amount expended in the maintenance of these, together with
19 urinals, was £2,148 5s. 9d.
Plans, specification, and quantities have been prepared for an
Christchurch underground convenience for gentlemen in ChristRoad.
church Road, Streatham, and after the sanction of the
Local Government Board tenders will be invited for the carrying out
of the work.
In connection with the widening of Putney Bridge approach,
Putney Lower Richmond Road, a site was obtained from the
Bridge. London County Council for the construction of an
underground convenience. Tne work was carried out under contract
by Mr. J. Ewart for the London County Council, the sanitary fittings
being supplied by Messrs. Adamsez, Ltd.
The accommodation provided is three W.C.s, eight urinal stalls,
lavatory compartment and attendant's room. The total cost was £920.
New treads have been fixed to the steps by the Safety Tread
East Hill. Syndicate, Limited, at a cost of £13 13s. 6d.
