A 9-inch surface water drain, with two manholes, has been con-
Putney Vale structed at a cost of £30 18s. 3d.
Shoot.
The 9-inch pipe sewer has been taken up and relaid, and extended
Headworth to the west end of the road adjoining Garratt Park
Road. As the sewer is very shallow the pipes were covered
with 12 inches of concrete. The total cost, including one manhole,
was £59 18s. 1d.
The ditch opposite Burntwood Lodge has been filled in with
Wandsworth sweepings and piped with 4-inch stoneware pipes, at a
Common. cost of £23 14s. 11d.
SEWER VENTILATION.
16 sewer ventilating shafts have been fixed against sides of houses
and 3 columns erected during the year, in lieu of surface ventilators
in the roads which in all cases have been hermetically sealed.
