Special attention has been given during the year to the revision .
of the stock in the scientific and economic sections of the Tate
Library, and many important works have been acquired.
After deducting replacements, and books worn out and withdrawn
from circulation, the stock at the 31st March numbered 34,503'
volumes, distributed as follows:—

Balham Public Library 10,692
Tooting Public Library 6,283
Total .34,503
At the annual stocktaking in July only two volumes (value 6s. 6d.)
could not be accounted for.
