Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
MILKSHOPS.
At the close of 1903 there were 286 of these on the Register, 31
have been added and 31 removed during the year, leaving 286 still on
the Register. During the year 590 inspections were made of these
premises, and 48 notices, chiefly for cleansing, were served. Two
prosecutions were ordered in 1904, both with respect to the same
premises in South Streatham.
In the case of one tenant the summons was withdrawn on
payment of costs.
The other was fined £5 and costs, but he immediately left the
district, and all efforts to trace him were fruitless.
