Prom title foregoing statement it will be seen title
67 houses infected with Small-pox were disinfected a
first time, and that in 54 no further case occurred.
That in 13 houses second cases occurred, the first
patient being retained at home in every instance.
In three houses third cases occurred, all following
patients remaining at home.
In the latter two classes of cases portions of the
houses were disinfected whilst other patients in the
house were suffering from the disease, so that it was
Impossible to thoroughly disinfect and cleanse until the
last date given in the foregoing abstract.
