During the year, 31 inspections were carried out by the District
Public Health Inspectors in respect of the issue and revocation of
Certificates of Disrepair.
Housing Act. 1957
Section 16
Under this section of the Act, an undertaking not to use basement
rooms for human habitation was accepted from the owner of one property
(two rooms ).
Licensing Act, 1961 - Registration of Club Premises
The Chief Public Health Inspector inspected 3 club premises in respect
of which applications were made for certificates of registration
under the above Act.
Sewerage
The Borough Engineer and Surveyor reported that in his opinion the
arrangements for sewerage and sewage disposal were reasonably adequate
and that he did not envisage any difficulty in the immediate future.
Rag Flock and Other Filling Materials Act. 1956
Under the above Act one licence is in force in respect of premises
where kapok is stored.
Registration of Hairdressers' Premises
Fifty-one premises are registered under Section 18 of the London
County Council (General Powers) Act, 1954.
