Drainage Applications (Section 34 - Public Health (London) Act, 1936)
During the year, 92 Drainage Applications and plans were approved by
the Council.

Certificates have been issued in respect of the provision of a proper and sufficient supply of water at the undermentioned dwellings :—

Water Supply
The water supply for the borough is controlled by the Metropolitan
Water Board and is supplied to 12,512 dwellings containing a population
of 52,830 direct from public water mains.. Standpipes are used only in
cases of emergency®
Bacteriological and chemical examinations of the raw water are
carried out by the Metropolitan Water Board and the supply has been satisfactory
in quality and quantity..
Pet Animls Act, 1951
At the end of 1963 six licences, issued under this Act, were in
operation and seventeen inspections of premises were carried out by the
Public Health Inspectors.
Houses in Multiple Occupation
76 inspections were made of houses in multiple occupation.
