In dealing with the rat question in the Borough several kinds
of poison have been used. It is difficult to estimate the value of
any poison as an exterminator, as the result is not apparent.
In the majority of cases we have been able to trace the source
of the infestation and provide a remedy; then trapping the rats
left behind in the house.
The Inspector of the Board of Agriculture and Fisheries has
paid two visits to the Borough during the year, and discussed the
work with your Inspectors.
SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS AND MARGARINE ACTS.
One hundred and seventy-five samples were taken and submitted
to the Public Analvst during the vear.

Several vendors of poor samples of food and drugs were cautioned
by order of your Committee.
