SANITARY IMPROVEMENTS EFFECTED
IN DWELLINGS
In previous reports the overall picture of improvements has
been obscured by many details. This detailed analysis has now
been dispensed with, and in its place sanitary improvements have
been classified under main headings - work on the drainage system,
the external fabric, and the internal fabric of the house - and each
of these is sub-divided into "major" and "minor", according to the
extent of the work involved. Each premises is now counted once
only irrespective of the extent of the work involved.
