Smoke Nuisances—Black smoke having been observed issuing from
the chimneys of the undermentioned premises, notices were served on the
owners of the businesses requiring its abatement.
Pianoforte Works, Corporation Street.
21 Lyon Street.
Mayfield Laundry, Gillespie Road.
Several other chimneys were also observed to give forth black smoke,
but a call on the owner, or a letter, was sufficient to cause the abatement of
the nuisances.
