Restriction of Rent Acts, 1920-33.—The registration of decontrolled
houses was carried out by this department in 1933 and the register remains
in the department where it may be inspected by any member of the public
as permitted by Section 2 of the Act of 1933. During the year some
two hundred persons inspected the register. Twenty-two applications
were received for the registration of decontrolled premises on certificates
granted by the County Court under Section 2 (4) of the Act of 1933.
The number of "dwelling-houses" included in those applications
totalled 101.
Certificates of registration or non-registration, which local authorities
are required to grant on payment of a fee of 1s., have been issued in
