A return required by the Ministry is appended, also a table showing
the distribution of the cases in the various wards of the City.
Notification of cases of tuberculosis have somewhat increased as regards
males, both pulmonary and non-pulmonary ; while non-pulmonary
only have increased among females. Deaths from tuberculosis in all
categories have decreased, and are in fact the fewest since 1929.
The considerable reduction in cases on the register at the end of 1932
as compared with 1931 is mainly explained by a special review of the
register carried out during 1932 at the request of the Ministry. Formerly
the register of cases had been purged of cured, removed, and lost
sight of cases every five years.
Non-notified Deaths.—There were 34 deaths from Tuberculosis
during 1932 of persons who had not been notified in Westminster. The
