Nationality of Patients.—As usual, many nationalties were represented
among those notified in 1924 ; 308 were born in England, 13 in Ireland,
2 in Scotland, 1 in Wales and 2 in British Dominions ; 21 were of foreign
origin:—Italian 2, Russian 3, Polish 8, Swiss 3, German 2, French,
Roumanian and Japanese 1 each.

The total number of cases of tuberculous disease on the Register at the end of 1924 was 1,772 as compared with 1,682 at the end of the year 1923.

Home Visiting.—The Tuberculosis Medical Officer paid 421 visits during the year to patients at their homes. The number of visits paid in previous years was:—

The Health Visitors paid 6,403 visits, 4,907 of these being to persons
attending the Dispensary (in 1922, 5,278 and 4,995, and in 1923, 5,412
and 4,717 respectively); 613 visits were paid to ex-service men.
