Compared with the population for London as a whole there are, as in previous enumerations fewer children proportionately in Westminster and but for the inclusion of the births of 1920 when the numbers were high, the proportion of children under 5 would have been still lower.

Between the ages of 15 and 35 there has always been an excess due to
the importation of domestic servants, waiters and other hotel and restaurant
staffs, besides which there are numbers of both sexes employed
in business. There is little difference in the proportion of females at this
age period between 1911 and 1921, but the percentage of males has fallen
from 42.7 in 1911 to 36 in 1921.
