Measles.—Twenty deaths were attributed to this cause in 1906 in
the City.
During the year only 362 cases came to my knowledge, 347 having
been notified by school teachers (105 being from Millbank School).

As 19 of the deaths in Westminster, and the bulk of those in
London, occurred in children under five years of age, it affords a better
comparison to calculate the deaths on the number of children estimated

Disinfection of 81 rooms in 39 houses, and of 1,142 articles, was
carried out by the Council's staff.
472 visits were paid in connection with cases of measles and whooping
cough.
