The figures for the several districts previous to the formation of the City in November, 1900, relate to the areas as then existing, except as regards No. 6. in which case the figures relating
to the added part were obtainable from the reports of the late Medical Officer of Health for St. Giles. The other figures are from the reports of the Medical Officer of Health of the
separate districts and from those of the Registrar-General.
