of the best Portland cement concrete substituted, upon which
the new pavement has been laid, the joints being filled in
with heated mastic asphalte and Portland cement grout.
The work has been done at the expense of the Company,
who are under contract to maintain the roadway in good condition.
The only portion of the original pavement now left
to be re-laid is that between St. James's Street and Berkeley
Street; with this exception the entire roadway of Piccadilly
has been re-laid by the Company.
The following statement shows the situation, area, and
description of Wood Pavement laid throughout the Parish,
up to the year ending March 25th, 1882.
