to have the district supplied by them with cannel gas changed
to common. The Company having agreed to this, the necessary
alterations of services have been made, and the whole
of the lamps in the Out Wards hitherto supplied with cannel
gas will in future consume common gas, except thirteen,
which are still burning cannel, but are charged for by the
London Gas Company as burning common.

Note (a).—The total number of lamps includes 14 for lighting urinals.

Cleansing the Streets.
The cleansing of the streets has been done by men in
the employment of the Vestry. The sweepings in the In
Wards have been removed under contract by Mr. T. Hobbs,
Jun.; the sweepings in the Out Wards have been carted
from the streets by the Parish carts to the Parish Wharf,
and thence barged away by contract.
