In the last quarter (14 weeks) there were no less than
24 violent deaths, but I have not got the particulars of
these.
Vaccination.
The number of Vaccinations performed by Mr. Jay, in the Hanover-square and May Fair Sub-Districts, during the year ending January 2nd, 1875, was :—

From which returns it appears, as before, that revaccination
is not by any means sufficiently resorted to; and
that is why epidemics of small-pox are so much more fatal
than they ought to be.
