MEASLES.
The number of cases of this disease notified during the year was
176. Of these, 98 were under five years of age, and 52 were removed
to hospital.
Nineteen of those over five were also removed to hospital. All cases
treated in their homes were visited by the Health Visitors, who gave
advice and instruction where necessary.
The number of deaths from Measles during the last five years will be found hereunder:—

DIARRHOEA.
This disease is notifiable during the months of July, August and
September in the Borough of Southwark.
During this period 1 case was notified.
Deaths of infants under two years of age during the last five years were as follows:—

WHOOPING COUGH.
This disease is not notifiable in the Borough, but cases come to the
knowledge of the Health Services Department through the medium of the
various local hospitals, or the general practitioners; 103 cases were
removed to hospital during the year.
