TYPHUS FEVER.
No death occurred from this disease during the year, and no case
was notified,
MEASLES.
The deaths from Measles during the year numbered 127, as against
77, 112, and 95 for the previous three years.
The death-rate per 1,000 living was 0.60.

The Wards mostly affected were St. George's, St. Michael's and
All Saints', in the order named.
The cases of Measles reported to the Medical Officer of Health from
the Schools numbered 833. There must have been in the whole Borough
at least 1,600 more cases not reported to us.
WHOOPING COUGH.
The deaths from this disease were 57 for this year and 50 for 1908.
The Wards most affected were St. Michael's, Trinity and St.
George's.
