Of the 270 cases notified 266, or 98.5 per cent., were removed to
hospital with 30 deaths, a mortality of 11.3 per cent., whilst in the 4
cases treated at home there were 2 deaths, a mortality of 50.0 per cent
The Wards most affected were St. Michael's, St. George's, St.
Paul's and St. John's, in the order named.
ENTERIC FEVER.
The deaths from Enteric Fever during the year numbered 7, as
against 11, 12 and 11 for the preceding three years.
The total number of cases notified was 48 for the present year, and
80, 111 and 74 for the preceding three years.
The percentage of deaths to the total number notified was 14.6.
The annual mortality per 1,000 living was 0 03.
