The deaths numbered 44 as against 26 for the year 1904.
The total number of cases notified, including Membranous Croup,
was slightly in excess of that for 1904, which was a "record" year for its
smallness. The numbers are for this year 304, and for 1904 281.
The percentage of deaths to the total number of cases notified
was 14.4.
The annual mortality per 1,000 living was 0.21.

Of the 304 cases notified 273, or 92.1 per cent., were removed to
hospital with 38 deaths, a mortality of 13.6 per cent., whilst in the 24
cases treated at home there were 6 deaths, a mortality of 25 per cent.
The deaths were more numerous in the Wards of St. Michael, St.
George and St. Paul. The notifications showed 110 great fluctuation in
the several months of the year.
ENTERIC FEVER.
The deaths from Enteric Fever during the year, numbered 11, as
against 18 for 1904.
The total number of cases notified was 74 for the present year, and
92 for 1901.
The percentage of deaths to the total number notified was 14-8.
The annual mortality per 1,000 living was 0-05.
