SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS ACTS.
During the year ending 30th December, 1905, 1,710 samples were
taken by the Inspectors.*
The following Table shews the localities in which these samples were

199 of these samples were certified as adulterated, a percentage
of 11.6. Compared with the percentage of adulteration for the previous
year an increase of 1.0 is shewn.
Particulars of the samples taken together with the results of the
analyses are given in the following table.
* Mr. David, inspector for St. George's Ward, carried out his duties as Assistant
Inspector under the Food and Drugs Acts, at different periods, amounting to thirtyeight
week days and seven Sundays, during 1905.
