The following Work of Supervision has been carried
out during the year by Mr. Weatheritt—
MILKSELLERS.
During the year 1903, 112 applications to be registered as Milksellers
in the Borough were received at this office. The number of Milksellers
actually on the Register at the end of the year was 413.
597 inspections of the various Milkshops were made during the year,
and with the exception of the following instances the whole of the
premises were found to be in a clean and satisfactory sanitary condition.
Insanitary Conditions Discovered :—
Defective floors or paving 3
Without proper water supply 2
Opening to a drain in milk store 1
Foul milk stores 5
Foul milk vessels 2
Total 13
All these nuisances have been remedied.
SLAUGHTERHOUSES.
The number of Licensed Slaughterhouses in the Borough is seven.
110 inspections of these Slaughterhouses were made during the year, and
with few exceptions the several premises were found to be in a good
sanitary condition and no nuisance to exist.

The periodical lime-washing was found to have been duly carried out. List of Licensed Slaughterhouses :—
