During the 53 weeks ended 2nd January, 1937, 8,661 applications
for free milk were received, of which 7,439 were granted. (The number
of persons granted milk was 10,830.) Orders were issued for 98,000 pints
of Tuberculin Tested milk, and 33,295 pounds of dried milk, the total
commitments amounting to approximately £3,984.
In addition, orders were issued for 1,569 bottles (40Z.) of iron solution
and 12,077 bottles (40Z.) of cod liver oil.
547 cases were investigated by the Enquiry Officer. All cases were
found satisfactory.

Supply of Extra Nourishment—Co-operation with London County Council.
The scheme of co-operation with the Public Assistance Committee
has worked smoothly and no case has been reported to be adversely
affected.
The amount chargeable to the Public Assistance Committee during
1936 was approximately £860.
