Of the 822 patients notified in Poplar, 752 were removed to hospitals
and institutions; of the 861 in Bromley 793 were isolated, and of the 531
in Bow 491 were removed, so that of a total of 2,214 notifiable diseases
in the Borough 2,036 patients (exclusive of ophthalmia neonatorum) had
been removed from their homes.*
