With the addition of Spratts Appliance Department new factory,
Empson Street, the total number of dwelling-houses, business premises
etc., etc. is 3,196 for Bromley Central Division.

re No. 1, Bromley Cottages.
The Closing Order made at the latter part of 1911, resulted in
these premises having been rendered fit for human habitation, and upon
your reinspection, the Council determined order.
re Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, Bromley Cottages.
With the above proceedings the nine four-roomed houses, were
cleared of inmates, and these also were rendered fit for human habitation
by necessary work carried out.
Further, eight special inspections were carried out without recourse
to Council for closing orders, for upon "intimations" notices and "final"
notices, served, the owners or responsible persons, abated the several
nuisances at the following premises:—
Nos. 4a, 5, 6, 11, Chadbourne Street.
Nos. 12, 26, 57, Devas Street.
No. 29, Wellington Street.
Legal Proceedings under the Public Health (London) Act, 1891, Metropolis
Local Management Acts, London County Council General Powers Act,
Bye-laws, and Council's Bye-laws, etc., etc.
In pursuance of the different orders of authorisation granted by the
Public Health and Housing Committee, it has not in any case been
necessary to institute legal proceedings at Police Court, the "written
intimations," statutory notices, "final notices," served for the abatement
of nuisances, remedying of defects and infringements of bye-laws respectively,
having been complied with.
