The results of the analyses of 376 samples were reported to the Committee during the year 1912, the samples being as follows :—

* Of the 186 samples of milk, 44 samples were procured on Sundays
from itinerant vendors and 29 from itinerant vendors on weekdays.
Twenty-nine samples were taken on delivery at institutions within the
Borough, viz., 5 Poplar Union Workhouse, 8 Sick Asylum, 8 Blackwall
Sick Asylum and 8 Stepney Union Workhouse. All the samples were
genuine.
†This sample contained salicylic acid in the proportion of 0.0005
per cent.
