VICTORIA PARK BATHING LAKE.
Representations to the London County Council as to A Fresh
Water Shower Bath.
The Public Health and Housing Committee considered a resolution
adopted by the Bethnal Green Local Government Officers' Association
to the following effect, viz. :—
"That in view of the unsatisfactory condition of the water
in the men's bathing lake in Victoria Park, expecially when a
large number of people use the lake at the same time, the London
County Council be asked to consider the desirability of affording
facilities to persons using the lake to obtain a fresh water showerbath
after using the lake."
In view of the condition of the bathing lake during the summer
months, the Committee were of opinion the request was reasonable, and
were advised the shower-baths could be provided at a moderate cost.
The Committee recommended the Council that representations be
made to the London County Council in support of the proposal.
Respecting representation to the London County Council as to supervision
of persons using Lake and representations to the London County Council
