21 milkshops had been placed on the register during the year,
9 Poplar, 6 Bromley and 6 Bow. 46 Premises were on account of change
of occupiers re-registered as milkshops, 8 Poplar, 29 Bromley and 9 Bow.
The sale of milk was discontinued* on 44 premises—14 Poplar, 19
Bromley and 11 Bow.

Sanitary Provisions.
Power to Sanitary Authorities to remove from or refuse to
enter on Register Names of Dairymen in certain
circumstances.
5. (1) Notwithstanding anything'contained in the Dairies, Cowsheds
and Milkshops Order of 1885, or in any subsequent Order, any sanitary
authority may remove from the register kept by them of persons from
time to time carrying on in their district the trade of cow-keepers, dairymen
or purveyors of milk, or may refuse to enter upon such register the
name of any person carrying on or proposing to carry on the trade of a
dairyman or purveyor of milk upon premises which are in the opinion of
such sanitary authority for any reason unsuitable for the sale of milk
therein. Provided that for the purposes of this section premises shall not
be deemed to be unsuitable for the sale of milk therein on any ground
inconsistent with the provisions or requirements of any order or regulation
made under any enactment for the time being in force and applicable to
such premises.
(2) Any person who thinks himself aggrieved by any decision of the
sanitary authority under the provisions of this section may at any time
within twenty-one days from the date of such decision appeal against the
same to a court of summary jurisdiction, and if on any sucir appeal it shall
appear to the court that the premises of the person appealing are in all
respects suitable for the sale of milk therein the court may make an order
