Camphorated Oil, deficient in camphor to the extent of 10 per
cent. by weight. Vendor cautioned.
Ammoniated Tincture of Quinine, deficient in ammonia to the
extent of 13.5 per cent. Vendor communicated with.
Whisky adulterated with 2.4 per cent. water, or being 18°
under proof below the statutory minimum strength. Vendor cautioned,
as notice was exhibited on his premises, but it was in such a
situation that it could not be distinctly seen by customers. Since
the purchase of the sample another notice has been exhibited. In
the letter of caution the Public Health and Housing Committee
directed that the vendor be informed that if he relied upon these
notices for the sale of spirits they must be placed in such a position
as to be distinctly seen by all bis customers, otherwise legal proceedings
would be instituted against him if another adulterated
sample was procured from his premises.
