TUBERCULOSIS.
The sex-age distribution of the 545 new cases of tuberculosis (all forms) reported during
the year is shown in the top section of Table 24. The lower portion of this table relates to
patients reported as "suspect" by the staff of the Paddington Tuberculosis Dispensary. Table
25 gives the occupations of the new patients, together with the occupations of all persons dying
from tuberculosis during the year.

MORTALITY.
The total number of deaths during the year from all forms of tuberculosis was 186*,
beiner the same as in 1913, but 13 more than in 1912.

*Thirty-eight of the deaths were recorded without previous notification. The disease was discovered at
post-mortem examinations in 13 instances (2 of the examinations taking place on the Coroner's order).
